We had rented car, so we didn’t face any transport problem. Stavros beach under the mounteen was perfect for children (3 minutes trip) - there is lagoon without waves and wind. There are several shops...
The location was away from the touristy parts. Stunning views. Lovely pools and peaceful atmosphere.
