Home top and lounge well equipped but tiny dorm despite the number of beds in it and showers / toilets not clean at all.
The hostel is very well placed to be in the heart of the city without having too much transport to make to visit all the interesting places and monuments. The rooms of 4 are a little tight. The general condition of the hotel is a bit older, a good renovation would not be a bad thing. The kitchen has a lot of tables to find its place easily. Storing products in the fridge is a bit difficult. People tend to leave their dirty dishes in the sinks. But it is satisfactory overall for the price. Not too much contact with the staff.
Really small room for a lot of bunkers bed. Really cold outside the room Not enough bathroom for the amount of people. But Really good emplacement and not expensive

This hostel is super well located. We could do a lot of walking tours. The staff is really very friendly. So yes it's a little noisy but it is to be expected for a youth hostel at temple bar. Yet I had no problem sleeping! Small advice, invest in earplugs, it's magic!
Very good place with good breakfast and at a very good location.
the hostel is ideally located ... right in the city center, and from the street bars ... you can not get closer! Very convenient after spending the night doing the tour of the bars. The rooms are spacious, secure access (magnetic card), private bathroom in the room. Very good hygiene! very good atmosphere! Excellent value.
The price is quite high for the final service ie beds with low-end mattresses and "pillows" limit useless for the thickness it had. The bathroom was clean although the shower was inconvenient, however the toilet flush worked badly not at all. Note however the proximity to temple bar which is a very good point + good welcome from the staff.
Odor infects in the room
good
EXTRAORDINARY!
very good stay
A great stay at this hostel!
Great location in behind the Temple Bar.
all things
all sights and touristic places within walking distance
Awesome location safe and secure. Loved it
Great location, easy to find. Even though right in the action, street noise was shut out with the windows closed and I slept really well. Power sockets for every bed. Staff pretty friendly and helpful. Breakfast standard and simple. Nice common areas.
LOCATION!!!!
Perfect location to go out in the temple bar area
Great atmosphere and location, easy to meet people
Great staff!!
It is located next to the Temple Bar Pub, so literally in the center and heart of the Temple Bar area. Also very close to a Tesco and many other attractions like City Hall, O'Connell Street, the Liffey, Dublin Castle, Trinity College and so on. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is free (just toast, jam, juice and tea but enough as you don't have to pay for it.) We stayed in a room including a private bathroom and it was quite clean for Irish standards. I have been to Dublin plenty of times and this was the cleanest bathroom I ever had.
The location!
After travelling around for a month with my sister an staying in a number of hostels, this one was by far the best. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We didn't feel stupid asking questions and advice on what to do. The facilities were good and clean and it was really great that breakfast was provided.
Location was perfect - right in the centre of Temple Bar; in fact, the famous Temple Bar pub is on the same small street. I stayed in a six bed dorm which was clean and reasonably spacious. The reception staff were friendly and keen to help, they have plenty of information about all the different things to do not only in Dublin, but elsewhere in Ireland. The recommended pub crawl and free walking tour were excellent, so I would definitely check those out. The pub crawl is 12 euros but you get a wristband which then lets you go for free, so if you go more than once this works out well. The free breakfast was simple but had a reasonable choice of fruit, cereals, toast etc. to start your day. The kitchen was spacious and great to cook in, and there was also a separate common room with computers, a television with DVDs and games console, and a guitar, so plenty to do when hanging out in there. Would definitely stay at Barnacles again, and would recommend it to all my friends. :)
Good location. Great plugs and lights beside bed.
The room was lovely and the bedding very clean and comfy. The breakfast was great and we loved the communal meal in the evening. The plug sockets and lights by each bed were great.
Very well
Staff was really friendly. Good location for drinking (close to most major bars).
Staff are insanely helpful - always had a ton of suggestions on where to go and what to do, SO central, right in temple bar - main pub area and short walk to everything to see and all the pick up areas for tours, clean, good atmosphere - met tons of other travelers,
Very good location in temple bar and next to shamrocker a office for bus tours. Staff is very nice and went out of their way to give me ideas. Took a nice day trip to Howth at his recommendation and was very pleased. Breakfast is toast and cereal but kitchen is nice and spacious and clean.
Very good location. Next to the famous "temple bar pub". Staff were very helpful.
Staff are outstanding. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Probably the best location in Dublin City centre. Comfortable beds
Great staff, perfect location
close to the bars, open 24h and offers a great shuttle service to the airport for a very good price!
Best location in the heart of Temple Bar area, very friendly staff and lots of activities.
I especially liked the international, friendly and "young" atmosphere. It was also wonderful how helpful the staff was. We received a lot of great advice regarding trips and transportation and perfect support. It's also very nice that the hostel offers a common room and a big kitchen as well as recurring events like Spaghetti Monday and movie nights. :-) The location, of course, is also unbeatable.
EVERYTHING!!! Great location, extremely friendly atmosphere, clean rooms and facilities, free breakfast and dinner with plenty of food for everyone even if you go last minute! Had the best experience thanks to barnacles!!!
Ideal hostel: location, cleanliness, amenities & general atmosphere
Very good hostel
