The drivethru Surfcamp Polhena is located in the South of Sri Lanka in the middle of the small village of Polhena. The Ocean and diverse local shops and restaurants are easily accessible either by foot or by Tuk Tuk. this is one of the cleanest hostels I've been too! The staff were warm, accommodating, and very attentive. They always did their best to make sure you are comfortable. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The location is good, with a wifi working well.

The room I had was in the basement so dark and had ventilation problems in the bathroom. So it is better to ask for an above ground room. Otherwise everything was perfect and the staff very welcoming and efficient.

I had no wifi. The sheets and the room in general smelled bad, like a hospital. And the bathroom left to be desired because the shower had no support, that is, you showered on the floor and soaked the whole bathroom.

The hotel is right at the bus stop, an area with a lot of care with mobile phones and cameras is a very popular area, friendly staff only English and French speak, old facilities no elevator if you carry luggage
