The location, price

We had to push our stay back a night (on check-in day, no less) because of a delayed flight, and the hostel staff did it without a drama. Note this made our second night there a Friday, but we weren't charged cancel or change fees at all so we were so pleased with the service we received on what turned out to be a super stressful day! About the hostel: Great location, just a short walk from the parliament and other main attractions, and right across the road from the Rideau Centre. Rooms are clean, the historic building is really cool too. I didn't make it to breakfast but my girlfriend said it was really good. We went on the Friday night pub crawl which was fun but maybe needed a bit more organisation. Overall it was an awesome stay and I wouldn't fault anything - I'll definitely be back!

This hostel is in THE BEST location in Ottawa. Close to all the major sites, I walked everywhere within minutes the entire time I was there. I wasn't super keen on the jail vibe but I booked a room in the "wardens" part and it was quiet and not creepy! I would highly recommend this hostel!

I enjoyed my stay, close to all that downtown Otter has to offer. The staff where friendly and helpful.

All employees were amazingly kind! And the place has a vibrant and confortable atmosphere!

Loved this hostel! Staying in an old jail was such a cool experience and all of the facilities were great. Location is perfect. Staff really helpful and awesome breakfast.

Sleeping in a jail cell was cool but would only recommend 1 nights stay.

It was fun staying in what had been an actual jail. (Also was good to know we weren`t locked in there!)

The location is definitely awesome! You stay in this old jail perfectly maintained but with all facilities you need in 2015. Absolutely stunning!

Well except sanitary

It's clean safe and very friendly atmosphere. The staff was terrific. Overall. I highly recommend this place to friends .thanks so much.

Old construction and it was a jail in the past.

Everything we needed was available. The rooms are small but the value for the money is unbeatable. The whole stay for two people for two days with breakfast was totally affordable.

I'm from Ottawa(1932) When I was 14 yrs old I became aquainted with a gentleman who later on would become chief of police at this very stn.I never got the chance to visit as a lay abiding or other wise. I have been here a few times in the last ten years. I'll be baaaaack. Maurice T.
