I don't know how the health services don't go and close the facility of an exaggerated and dirty disgust everywhere
I paid €5 to have my belongings monitored and when I came back I found that someone had stolen from me.
The location is good but the neighborhood is a bit disgusting

Dirty and neglected When we arrived they gave us a room without a door full of garbage, the reception bathroom was super dirty to the point that I went in to take a shower and clean it a little so I could use it. The bathroom in the room upstairs shows that it is not cleaned.
Neighborhood like the hostel, trash cans not emptied, showers not cleaned without bath mats
As a structure it is not very safe during the night because the doors always remain open and there are not even wardrobes to store luggage. Furthermore, we are not there regarding cleanliness; the beds always remain unmade and we don't talk about the bathrooms. The only thing guaranteed is the bed and the bathroom and the atmosphere as soon as you enter the hostel isn't the best either.
Expensive for what it is !
I arrived at the hostel, they told me that there are no places available even though I reserved and paid, they sent me to another hostel which is also dirty and the receptionist is super weird who wanted me type pcq I wanted to pay by card, and then he told me to get out of here, all this during the night, I spent a horrible night in the street because of them
Arriving at the hostel, we were moved to another hostel due to lack of space, 15 minutes away on foot, which took us further from the location we had chosen. In the new San Lorenzo Guest House hostel, we found ourselves in a 6-person female dormitory with private bathroom as agreed, but: - the bedroom door did not close (damaged door which opened at the slightest gust of wind) - the bathroom was unsanitary (shower and doors not clean) - broken shower head (and therefore water was coming out of the pipe) - no hot water - electricity point not up to standard (switch, sockets) - no locker - no common area/kitchen as you would expect from a hostel. After expressing our dissatisfaction, we were relocated after 2 nights out of 4 in another 4-person female dormitory with private bathroom. This room had the same problems as the previous one, and more: - the shower door did not close (but the shower head remained attached to the pipe) - the window shutter was broken and therefore let in light.
Hell on earth
No keys for this hostel, so anyone can walk in to any room. Stayed in a 3 bedroom with 3 beds, and only 2x plug sockets. The beds were bunk beds and unstable, the ladder to the top bunk was unsecured and dangerous. When I checked in and returned later in the night another woman had been checked into my bed. No lights in the shower or toilet, slippery floors. Unhelpful staff… really unhappy with the service.
Very good service, thanks to the staff. Good value for money.
Very good service, thanks to the staff. Good value for money.
There is a bed and the minimum you need. Unfortunately the property is not in the best condition, it is not maintained and the garden looks like a dump. At least it's clean enough
Hostel under construction. No kitchen. Staff speak loudly at night. Too expensive for the service
Deplorable state of the structure, shower at the limit of use, I was in a room on a terrace where the door did not even close and a large bay window without a single curtain... I strongly advise against

It is a complete scam. We arrived in Rome expecting to find a hostel like the one in the photos and the experience was terrible. It is located in a bad neighborhood of Rome, full of people who make you feel very insecure and homeless people who urinated and shit on the street corners. All full of graffiti and garbage. Just because of the location, my partner and I were already considering leaving, since we didn't feel safe at all. When I got to the hostel it was worse. It has NOTHING TO DO with the photos. It seems incredible to us that they have not reported him for SCAM. The rooms are overcrowded with people and suitcases, there is no division or separation between areas, beds or bunks. The doors are also not secure. If you looked inside the rooms, it gave you the feeling of being in a space enabled to collect people after a catastrophe or in a refugee camp. And of course, they do not have slogans to leave the suitcases either. It gave the impression that it was the place where the homeless of the neighborhood came to sleep. Very little hygiene. The bathrooms are not the ones in the photos either and it gives the feeling that they have no control over who enters or who leaves the hostel. We entered and were able to enter the rooms (by mistake) without anyone telling us anything. You arrive at reception (which is a sad table) and everything you see along the way in the corridor depresses you. Really. We felt that at any moment all our things were going to be stolen or, if we stayed, when we returned there would be nothing. Absolutely all the photos are retouched or made especially for the occasion, because even the terrace of the main entrance is quite another with garbage cans, dirt, mosquitoes and no type of decoration like the one that appears in the images. We didn't even ask for our money back. We ran to another hostel and filed a complaint on the website. I cannot believe that a site like this is still online offering service when it is clearly a scam and does not meet any conditions to host anyone. DO NOT HIRE IT. IS A GOTCHA.
No hot water, constant noise from staff even in the middle of the night. I've had the added pleasure of bringing bedbugs home from their beds. No ladder for bunk beds. Don't go there, no matter the price, the feeling of discomfort is too strong to feel like you're getting a bargain.
A million years to attend to change the building because they were full. They took us from Guatemala to guatepeor. The truth is that it will cost €10 I would say “at least it is a roof” for €35 it is rubbish.
Hello, The reception was pleasant within the hostel. Nevertheless, I found myself in a room with 8 men (remaining the only woman), at night between the snoring and the very busy street, I couldn't sleep a wink. In the morning the smell of the community was also gripping. In order to take care of my health & have the opportunity to rest, I shortened my stay to 2 nights instead of 4 & I am currently awaiting a refund. Cordially, Alice Bouquillon
This is what you expect from a hostel at 20€ per night. There is still a problem with the hot water tank, and the lack of a locker is annoying. But if you need a place to sleep not far from the center that's fine.
The hostel is pretty good but there is a big problem with the showers. Either they're in the room with no walls around them, or they're in bad shape. The team is very welcoming and it is quite easy to go to town from the hostel
The hostel is close to Termini station, about 35 min walk from the city center, it does not look too much like the photos published, the upper beds are not comfortable at all, the rooms do not close, the toilets are a bit dirty, the hostel has a mini kitchen if anyone wants to cook their food, the staff were friendly except for one man who I think is the manager.
Not according to the description. The beds are old and make a lot of noise. The bathroom is very dirty and there is no private bathroom. The nearest subway stop is about 10 min walk. It's cheap and there is no quality.
An overcrowded hostel… 8 people in a very small space… no storage, a leak in the bathroom, and a location a little out of the way. I did 3 nights but one would have been enough.
Really disgusting this hostel mold and fungus, everything dirty and broken, the room didn't even have a door. The neighborhood is also dangerous in front of a park where a lot of homeless people sleep
Arriving at the reception, which is very poorly marked, I made my payment and with the excuse that the hostel at the address where I had booked it was full, they took me (reluctantly) to an old building to about 700 meters. To enter this building (every time we did it, and when you are a tourist there are not a few entrances and exits) we had to phone a man who could go whenever he wanted to the rooms, which had no key, no slogans , no space. Overall a very bad and unsafe experience.
Horrible they put me in a room of 12, thousands of bugs bite me? in bed, full of bruises, never again ROME or anything
Well so just we agree it's a hostel but still ... receptionist very smiling but completely two on time ... There is no personal locker for valuables. so no security. There is a kitchen and fridge but offers nothing more...no coffee in the morning or even bottled water. no activity offered either. and no socket nearby if you're on the top bed, they're all downstairs... so complicated. for the price it is very disappointing.
The hosts are very warm. Rooms, bathrooms and common areas are clean and are cleaned daily. There is no noise late. The inn offers a dinner service for little.
An experience that, within what we expected, has surprised us. The facilities are precarious; there are no lockers, the showers are not in very good condition... But to spend a couple or three nights it's not bad.
The place is to be avoided, especially for a woman traveling alone: very poor neighborhood, no lock on the door of the rooms, no lockers for business, no air conditioning, bed not comfortable, a garden hose as a shower head
What to say ... Positive side: cheap and convenient since it is close to Rome Termini Negative side now ... I have never seen such a dirty hostel. From the walls full of dust to the showers probably not washed in months, the stoves full of grease and the doors black with smoke ... The first night I made the mistake of sleeping with a blanket provided, in the morning I found myself a bite on the thigh, luckily it didn't go deep. I would add that this place inside a building seems very shady without even a plaque outside to indicate the entrance. I will never go back and do not recommend it to anyone.
.
The sunny terrace for a snack is a plus.
No breakfast, paid sheets, closed between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., kitchen not accessible before 8:30 a.m. and very poorly equipped, no other common room. Nice owner
We can't complain considering the price of the night but the accommodation is still very dirty and noisy. Don't expect it to be like the pictures. Cold or broken showers (luckily 1 out of the 4 worked properly), some clogged toilets, dirty duvets and no sheets... In short, it's disgusting but it can be enough for a few days if you want to visit the city and just plan to sleep and don't spend more time here.
Does the job! All good.
Hostel constantly open, smell of cigarettes, not in accordance with the photos, exterior with bulky items, dirty bathrooms and mold ... Only disappointment of all the hostels I have done in Italy! I do not recommend at all!
I'm going to tell you a real and raw story ... Two friends reserve here with all the illusion of the world, a female room of 6, and they find that they are put in a "clandestine" room that is accessed by another room of 6, moving an old wooden closet, and opening a curtain ... When we access, we meet an Argentine woman, who lives there, and says she is tired of having companions, she also claims to be in charge of cleaning the hostel (in the room there were scented candles, creams, makeup, and thousands of rolls of kitchen paper ...) and the hostel, on the other hand, denoted not having been cleaned in YEARS! Amid so much dust I discover that there are no sheets on the beds, only an adjustable one, along with a brown pillow from use and reuse, a grimy quilt and ... Some black bugs on my mattress ... (I have photos of everything, for which want you to write to me) And when my friend and I decided to go to visit how are the bathrooms, we see that there is only one on our floor in which there were more than 3 rooms, one without a lock, without toilet paper, without towels, without a mirror, with hair, dust and fungus everywhere, ... It was hard to breathe in there! I do not want to extend much more because I already had enough with the kitchen-reception as my great first contact! A disappointment, yes, we did not endure more than one night in which we seemed to be at the North Pole and at the same time in the war, without blankets and with the strap of the bag wrapped around my thigh for what could happen ...
I do not recommend this hostel
The good ... - Good WiFi - Near the train station - It is easy to reach the Colosseum walking - The staff is very friendly The bad - Of the 3 bathrooms on my floor, one was out of order and another had a shower that I felt sorry for it - I woke up with pickets (many) all over my body, not with mosquitoes :( - I preferred not to cook or consume anything, in general the hostel seems to be always dirty
Quite central, very nice bathrooms but there are very few, the rooms are not bad and the terraces very well, but they put you in the rooms as they please regardless of what you have booked. The very small kitchen and fridge to burst. And they force you to pay in cash ...
Genial! - Awesome!
very friendly staff, nice place and free pasta at night. wonderful stay
We had a great stay at this hostel, staff were so friendly, so was the atmosphere between all of the backpackers ! Room and bathroom were clean, and we really enjoy the terrace to have a drink at the end of the day ! I'll be back for sure if I go back to Roma !
Open and friendly place, especially with international travelers. Possibility to eat breakfast or dinner. Accessible at all hours, even if on the point of safety it is not always reliable.
A little beer and pasta very nice home, and the terrace in the sun :) Friendly hostel with beautiful tiles. Near the Colosseum, top!
Do not expect a Hotel or something similar. Rather it is a family residence where it seems that the workers live there too. The experience was good, although there are no lockers in the rooms (a bit chaotic) and a little general order. The location is not perfect but there is a metro stop 5 minutes away and the Colosseum is about 20 minutes walk. Breakfast (milk, coffee, juice, toast and unlimited cereals) is offered for two euros and there is also a common kitchen that can be used. In summary, what is expected by one of the cheapest accommodation in Rome.
Everything is really good, especially for the price I do not see what can be asked for better! 12 € with the mandatory tax, 10 minutes from the Coliseum! And in the neighborhood a little student that allows you to think outside the box
We appreciate the kindness of the staff who is like a family and who does not hesitate to come and talk to you so that you can feel at home. Hence the very relaxed atmosphere that prevails especially in the common room where the kitchen is. We meet there at night to discuss over a drink and a meal. We just regret the location which is certainly not far from the tourist center but which is the least attractive district of Rome.
Nothing to say a youth hostel worthy of the name
The hostel is stylish and the staff have great attention to details. The owner very friendly and helpful gave great tips on where to go and where to eat
Near the Coliseum at 1km , comfortable beds, nice view from the patio
