Good location and value for money
We spent three nights with friends in this hostel. It is clean, extremely well located in the city, and the reception staff attentive; Thank you for everything !
On vacation in Athens we had booked 4 nights in this hostel. The day after the first night we noticed the appearance of pimples on one of us. Thinking it was just mosquitoes, we spent the 2nd and 3rd night at the Zeus Hostel. In the morning of the 3rd day the pimples intensified as well as the itching. Returning to our room we inspected the beds and realized that the bedding was infested with bed bugs. We then went to see the reception to inform them of the lack of hygiene and to HOPE for a commercial gesture. The receptionist never believed us, did not want to go up to see the facts and above all did not even deign to call his manager after many requests from us. When I suggested the idea of going to inform the other customers on the floors, the gentleman strangely started to react more virulently. It took 25 minutes of very heated discussion to obtain the free cancellation of the last night and recover, in principle, the 4€ deposit. The receptionist was otherwise very disrespectful. Finally, the equipment was also very very limited (only one ladder for 2 high beds, no sheets, and an unpleasant smell on arrival). GO ON YOUR WAY!!!
Really very friendly staff. The search for water is permanent: either not at all, or very long to arrive, or cold, ... difficult to shower. No kitchen equipment. Another difficulty.
