We offer everything a weary traveler needs including excellent home cooked meals, and have the fastest WiFi out of any of the hotels in town. 10% of our revenue goes to the Rumbugu Primary School helping disadvantaged children. Hi I am Lilian Kamusiime, the first female Tourist Safari Guide/Driver in Uganda and owner of Kabale Backpackers. I am also the Vice Chair of the Uganda Safari Guides Association which trains guides across Uganda + Rwanda and volunteers for multiple conservation efforts in our beautiful country.Both myself and my licensed, trained, professional guides can also help you book an affordable Gorilla tour if needed.

Kabale Backpackers is a simple but nice hostel. Located just off the main road behind the DCFU bank, it has a quiet location but you can easily walk to the bus station in max 10 minutes. My room had its own ensuite bathroom with shower. The owner Lilian is super friendly when I arrived without having booked anything and no idea about how I could get around Uganda, she sat down with me in front of the big map of Uganda painted in the common room and helped me plan it all. Thank you so much!
