The reception staff are helpful and friendly The hostel is clean Our dorm (26) was quiet apart from the constant humming of a machine (ventilation?)
It is a beautiful place with a lot of charm and personality. I highly recommend it. There were 2 of us and we booked a shared room with 10 girls, we thought they would be poorly placed beds without any privacy but that is not the case at all. The space is very well used with 5 bunk beds, each bed has a curtain to cover and separate it from the rest of the beds and a nightstand with a lamp in case you want to read or stay up late without having to disturb the others. All the staff are very friendly and happy, it is a very cozy place! In addition, they have a room with sofas and television where every afternoon/evening they carry out activities: karaoke, movies, soccer or tennis games... They have another room with billiards and more sofas. There is also a beautiful piano in the middle of the hall that can be played during the day. Another thing we really liked is the freedom to cook whenever you want. The hostel has a kitchen available to all residents, it was very useful for us so we didn't have to spend money every day in restaurants. We buy food the first day and we keep it in one of the refrigerators they have with a label where you must put your name and the room you are in, so everyone has their food under control. Everyone is very respectful and, in addition, cooking time allows you to socialize and meet other people living there like you. Of course, at 10 p.m. the kitchen closes. Next to the kitchen there is a room with tables where you can dine on your food, the kitchen has plates, cutlery, glasses... So it comes equipped with everything. In the same dining room, there is also a bar where you can buy some soft drinks, beer or even pizzas. Breakfast is included and it's not bad at all, yes, if you have any allergies I recommend bringing food since my traveling companion has celiac disease and for breakfast they only had rice pancakes, it didn't seem like they had much control over the issue. Shared facilities, such as bathrooms, were always clean. Throughout the day you saw cleaning staff cleaning them and that also gave a lot of peace of mind. Another notable feature of the hostel is its location. It is located in the heart of the city of Dublin. It is perfect. Everything is close to you. We spent the whole day outside but, if at any time it rained a lot, we could return home to take a hot shower and make ourselves something to eat since all the public transport passed along the street of the hostel. They also have a room to store luggage for free until 5 p.m. This has benefits since we leave the hostel in the morning and our return flight was in the afternoon, so we were able to leave our backpacks there during the day and go pick them up before heading to the airport.
Lots to say about my stay at Abbey Court. First of all, the location is great, right in the center. Rooms: they are not ventilated which encourages bad odors, there is poor optimization of space so it is sometimes difficult to move around, several things are missing that would be practical such as hooks for the towel or the jacket. Bedding: horrible, I have never slept so badly, I had terrible back pain. I've already slept better on a grassy floor under the stars, that's to say! Breakfast: I tried once, it was enough for me, I had a very, very stomach ache and I spent a lot of time in the toilet (if you know what I mean) a few hours later because that my body did not digest. Showers: pretty much clean but you can't adjust the heat of the water, that's a bit of a shame. Big plus for eco friendly showers, that’s really great. There are a lot of showers so that’s cool, there are no waits. Common areas: that’s really the big plus of the hostel. All the facilities for shared activities are great, the atmosphere in the lounge is always great, lively, the bartenders are very friendly, and the whole team is super friendly. The kitchen is functional and practical. So that’s really nice, there are lots of places and facilities to have fun. The bar food is very good!! There are a lot of activities planned and it’s super fun. Finally, in terms of cleanliness it could still improve a little. But it's not catastrophic.

Perfect
The welcome and the premises (kitchen living room etc.) are great and the location of the hostel is ideal, it is right in the center. Breakfast is good. The room is OK but very humid and not very well ventilated (when you sleep at 10 in the morning there are puddles on the window). Good security and good atmosphere.
Everything was perfect from start to finish. Very well located hostel. 2 steps from everything. Welcoming and lovely staff. You have wonderful graffiti throughout the hostel. Full, unlimited breakfast. Top kitchen available. Meals at extra cost served for lunch and dinner, excellent at an affordable price. Activities are organized. I highly recommend
I go back with my eyes closed
“Co tenants of the room ok during the night, discreet; we can hear a little noise from the other dormitory doors; sanitary facilities sometimes a little far from the dormitory; a real labyrinth of flow to find oneself but with character. we barely used the different spaces offered because we only spent one night in this hostel.
The advantage of Abbey Court Hostel is clearly its location, near the city centre and Temple Bar. There are also lots of facilities inside (table tennis, poolroom, sleep room, computer room...) and the breakfast was nice. Otherwise, we were disappointed by our experience : a very small room for 10 beds (suited for maximum 6 beds), where we couldn't breathe (only a small window to refresh the air). The window was closed when we arrived, so the temperature was 10°C higher inside the dorm than outside. I haven't slept well for 2 days and I was happy to leave my dorm the last day. The showers were shared with others, but they were not suited to keep our clothes near us (we had to let them on a bench near the showers) so everyone could have access to our belongings. For the toilets, cleanliness was random : either it was really clean, or sometimes it was a little dirty due to malfunctioning flush. I would not recommend this hostel due to its too small dorms for 10 people. We were suffocating inside it. Even if there is potential to do better with all the facilities they have.
A good price-performance ratio.
Very good stay in this hostel ideally located in the center of Dublin. Nearby parking is only €13 per day (Jervis shopping center 6 minutes away). Lots of spaces available for young people with table football, billiards and video common room,... Very generous free breakfast. Very good value for money in a dormitory for 4. Private shower and toilet in the dormitory, a must.
Clean toilets and kitchens. Sometimes groups a bit noisy. Well thought out common areas but located in the basement so cold and not bright
Very well located in the city center
After a warm welcome when we arrived (a special mention for Carolina!), we took full advantage of this place with all the facilities available. The location of this place in the center of Dublin is very comfortable for visiting this capital. Address to keep!
Very good hostel, in the city center, fully equipped. Very helpful team.
Hostel very good value for money, very good welcome helpful and friendly staff jsq at the start nothing to say Top location too
Very well
We spent a great time at the Abbey court hostel: the place is absolutely gorgeous, well-situated and the prices are so cheap in comparison to the location, the rooms, and the breakfast included. We were two women in a female-dorm and we met some awesome people, and felt so confortable and safe. The place is so clean, it was just so great to go back there after a day of visiting Dublin. We will come back. Would 100% recommend it.
Hostel well placed in Dublin which allows you to visit everything on foot. Clean and a good welcome. The only problem comes from the permanent noise day and night because it is very poorly soundproofed.
What I notice and what I liked is the friendliness of the staff, their availability and the very clean sanitary facilities! Congratulation !!
This place is amazing, 24/24 check-in is a really cool thing for travellers. The different common areas are always clean and make you feel at home. It was a pleasure to be here, I just stayed a night and it feels too short.
the proximity of the hostel to the temple bar the place where the party is present with many bars and restaurants
My friend and I stayed 2 nights in this hostel, in a room shared with two other girls. The hostel is beautiful and very clean. Super central location, we walked all over Dublin (we were a stone's throw from Temple Bar). Staff available 24 hours a day and friendly. Super recommended, especially for young guys
Place is very nice. Excellent location. Amazing breakfast with lots of variety. Nice staff as well. Highly recommended.
I'm a little old to fully appreciate this hostel, but all these young people present in the hostel were pleasant to be around.
The hostel is in an extremely good location. The price is very correct and the best we have found in Dublin. Everything was clean, the beds comfortable, the sanitary facilities clean and large enough. We will return to this hostel on a future visit.
Everything you would expect from a youth hostel: warm atmosphere, welcoming staff, right in the heart of the city. But the price is a bit high for a hostel
The hostel is ideally located, right in the center. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The bathroom is outside the bedroom. Also, cleaning is not done as regularly as indicated. I do not recommend people coming to work for several weeks-The hostel is ideally located, right in the center. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The bathroom is outside the bedroom. very welcoming, super well placed, you can do everything on foot from this hostel! otherwise it is also placed next to the bus and tram stops if you want to go further.
Too much noise
Very good as a friendly hostel. The rooms are comfortable, we had the bathroom adjoining the room which is very good for a hostel. Only downside in the morning we did not have hot water in the shower and we do not know why no information about it.
From the reception we feel like with friends, the sets of paint put a dynamic atmosphere, perfect bedding The labyrinth effect is very well taken into account with signs everywhere, impossible to get lost. Only downside is the low number of restrooms in a small space The radiators heaters -towels in the shower block are appreciated :)
Really a very colorful hostel and very nice, clean, where you want to come back.
Location nothing to say, perfect. Clean very well. I recommend
Séjour agréable dans une auberge idéalement située. Personnel aimable et accueillant ; chambres propres et claires ; petit-déjeuner continental ou britannique, abondant et de qualité.
Very good hostel. Shower and toilet common by floor (6 showers and a toilet, which is more than enough). Quality breakfast for a hostel and good atmosphere. The decorations in the corridors are very beautiful (murals). Finally, the location is ideal, 300 m from temple bar. Everything is cheap, especially during the week. I recommend !
Ras
cold reception, noisy place because of the frequentations that day, very disturbed by the occupants during the night, turn on the lights at 2am, then at 4am when sleeping without any respect of those who slept, breakfast in the basement without air or opening on the outside except if smoker ... and bad quality. Too bad all other hostels in Dublin and Ireland were all there. Do not stay on this very bad impression.
