The only 2 positive points: reception almost always open and geographical location 2 steps from Termini station. Everything else leaves something to be desired. Our room was on another street, which does not facilitate exchanges between travelers. Kitchen (is it really a kitchen??) a fridge, a microwave. No dishes, no cutlery.... Breakfast included?? A cash register with a pastry available with coffee. The organized evenings?? We stayed 5 nights ... None of that ... A bottle of bad wine put on a tray with a packet of crisps .... A tiny sink and despite our repeated requests no dishwashing liquid or sponge ... Same thing for the blankets .... Every morning I complained, 5 nights later I still had nothing!! When do they change the sheets and towels in this establishment ?? We still had a good stay, but very disappointed by the lack of friendliness specific to hostels!!!
The facilities were quite dirty. Although it was far from the center, it was close to the station.
My friends and I (three of us) had a 4 bed private room. There are so many issues we have with this hostel. For the “lockers” you need to bring your own lock but that doesn’t even matter as the whole back of the wooden cupboards are completely apart and you can reach your hand in them to steal if someone wanted. The locks on the doors literally locked us in for 15 minutes and the front desk didn’t answer the phone to help us, we had to wait for someone to pass by to get help. Not being dramatic but we really would have died if there was a fire. And lastly, “free breakfast” is advertised but it’s only 1 croissant and like 20 minutes after breakfast starts, they are already eaten. Idk I think you should advertise in the description that the breakfast is 1 croissant. The location is great but not worth it.

Not up to it. unsanitary limit We do not recognize the inn spirit
The hostel is well located in the heart of the city. The employees are super nice, but the bathrooms in the rooms are dirty. The kitchen is well equipped.
Good. Only downside should have better washrooms. Go early if you want to have free breakfast.
The stay went well, the staff are attentive and the hostel has all the necessary amenities
The place is very close to Termini station which connects you to different places. The staff is very attentive. The place has the basic conditions for someone who is in transit to other places.-The place is very close to Termini station which connects you to different places. The staff is very attentive. - Air-conditioning - Good soundproofing, they have silent hours (at night) - Individual towels and blankets (we were 3) - Good attention and good English - WIFI everywhere - Central and well located: about 5 minutes from the metro (Termini), supermarket nearby... - The other hostelers respect and clean used cutlery and plates (by rule of the hostel) - They give you a pamphlet with the hostel's schedule - They have several buildings (within a block). As only one of them has a kitchen, it is necessary to travel to use it if you are not staying in the main building. (Not a big inconvenience, but to keep in mind). - Some problem with the keys (it is difficult to open some doors) - The kitchen leaves something to be desired (there are no rags and it is not exactly clean) - Some rooms have suffered visible cosmetic damage - Some outlets were not working - There are no lockers, but all rooms have a key
Have a good stay in the city of ROME. Hostel in a great location in this city, just a short 05 minute walk from Rome Termini station. The welcome is warm and we are placed in a room at 04 instead of 06 (happy). The room is decent, clean, a bunk bed and two single beds. The bathroom and WC are in the bedroom. Big downside, the cleanliness of the bathroom with a very dirty curtain (mold) to close the shower. Presence of air conditioning in the room. Breakfast (a drink + a pastry) taken from a small bar located just outside the hostel.
For the price you should not imagine the moon. We had a single room, a shared bathroom. Everything is not bad at all (location, building with elevator, the impression of being at the hotel) but details like a systematic Scottish shower and the smell of mold in the bathroom does not help to put you especially in a good mood! The cleanliness of the floor of the dubious room (unless it is the lino definitively stained?) The buttons of black lights of filth, the white paint of the walls studded with stains. It is especially the classification of "exceptional" of the youth hostel when one made the reservation which causes confusion! In short, for a few days it's fine but not more.
Very pleasant hostel with a great reception on 24h. Very comfortable and clean rooms. All close to the bus, train and metro station. Not recommended to go by car or take covered parking
Warm welcome, very good accommodation conditions.
Very attentive staff
The hostel is super well located, next to the termini, the friendly staff and everything is pretty clean. Breakfast consists of pasticceria and coffee. Simple and efficient. They also offer free wine between 19 and 21h every day. The double beds are to be avoided if possible because you will rock with the rhythm of the sleep of the other ...
We were a group, we did not expect to be staying outside the hostel in three different places. The rooms were fine, the dormitory ok, but three out of five rooms were very, very noisy, even in the middle of the night (work and people screaming) (the dormitory at the entrance was blessed with comments from all the people passing by. Home). There were ticks in a room. The kitchen is unsuitable for a group, no dishes. The ideal location to visit Rome. The front desk staff is full of goodwill, but has no way of satisfying the needs of passengers when a problem arises.
Top!
Very good establishment both for its location very close to the Termini station for the reception and the services offered. The dorms are very nicely decorated and functional. The common parts are also with the seal of the old preserved thanks to the old frescoes ceilings. The welcome is warm and very available. I highly recommend.
I recommend for small budgets.
Pretty clean hostel in a very convenient area (a few steps from Termini). The staff speaks several languages and was very kind. It was my first time in the hostel but the experience was positive. At check in they provide a key to access the elevator. The only flaw: the water never became hot and even waiting a while 'remained always warm.
Three nights in the Hostel of the Via Gaeta. Service and reception satisfactory, but the three nights were enlivened because of users who do not respect the sleep of others (much noise and light rise when you leave at 5:30 in the morning, ...).
good, enjoyed it
Amazing place, very helpful service, free breakfast and wifi everywhere. What else can you ask for? :) Plus location - very close to Termini station and shuttles to both airports. Good value!
We had a great time in Rome at this hostel! We had a wonderful day in Rome, thanks to freedom traveler!
Very well
Stay room 4p, very good stay
Very well located but quite expensive in relation to the service offered!
Not terrible
Very welcome, very helpful staff and smiling
Good location and quiet patio inside.
sejour a rome
The staff: very friendly and helpful if you need anything. When you check in, they give you a city map and mark out the 'must see', which is useful if you want to plan the visits if you have limited time. My luggage got lost on the way to Rome, so I borrowed their phone to call the airport to see if they knew anything about my backpack. When it finally arrived two days later, they kept it for me until I could pick it up. You can also store your luggage here if you're arriving early or leaving late. The breakfast: different coffees (espresso, cappuchino, chocolat and so on) and croissants with different fillings. A good way to kick-start your day! In the evenings they also offer wine. There is also a kitchen with a fridge to use, if you want to make your own meals. Wifi is always a pluss. Location is also great, 5 minutes away from the railway station Termini, the metro and bus station. The 4 bed dorm I stayed in had big lockers, but you need to bring your own pad lock, as they don't sell them at the hostel (there's a minimarket around the corner where you can buy one). I recommend this place, and would also stay here again when in Rome the next time.
No bunks in our 4 bed dorm which was a nice change. Clean rooms. Great air con in the rooms. Free snacks and wine from 7pm. Free pastry and coffee breakfast. Very clean.
The wine every night, also very friendly staff with good recommendations.
This hostel is near the central railway station so you can Save time. The staff is friendly and willing to help.
everything!
It was one of the best hostels i've stayed in!
- Great price - Very helpful and friendly staff - Convenient location (5-10 minutes walk to Termini) - Pretty clean and comfortable
This hostel is so well situated in the city centre!! We were able to get to all the must-see sights on foot, but the Termini station is very close by to get everywhere by train/ metro if you want! The hostel staff were friendly and helpful, and provide you with a map on arrival which was useful. Our room was basic but clean and perfect for what we needed! The hostel offers a free breakfast of croissants and a drink which, for the price you pay to stay, is great value for money!! I would definitely recommend staying at Freedom Traveller hostel.
Friendly staff, nice rooms, although the hostel was being renovated, the stay was smooth and pleasant!Croissant + chocolate/coffee for breakfast :)
Everything! The staff is very welcoming and nice, great breakfast (pastry), not many people in the rooms, and hot showers. The situation is great if you come from the airport.
It was really clean, and had a great family feel. Very safe atomosphere. Just a bit tricky to find. Only has a small sign.
Breakfast (croissant and coffee) was nice
There is a wonderful atmosphere that is mainly generated by the friendly, flexible and genuinely helpful staff. Shel alam in particular went above and beyond the call of duty for us and contributed massively to the enjoyment of our trip. I would definitely stay there again!
Hostel is in a lovely old building very near Termini station, within walking distance of most anything worth seeing and doing. It has a lovely courtyard garden. The staff is very nice and helpful. Room was large and air-conditioned. Bring your own lock for the room lockers. Hostel asks for a 10 euro deposit for the keys. I liked the place, it had everything I needed.
I like the location, the garden and the lounge area and the awesome breakfast, so tasty!
The convenience of the hostel was the best feature of me. Easy access to trains and the metro made my stay a lot easier.
It was absolutely great!!!!
It was a 2 minute walk from the train station, easy to find, and It was walking distance to everything ( 10-45 mins from everything worth seeing) the staff was very friendly And helpful, 24 hour front desk, free beakfast( croissant and espresso machine), 5 euro dinner across the street that includes pizza, pasta and a drink, and safe lockers and a Bag room. They let me keep my bags in the luggage room before and after check in and check out and the wifi was free and fast in rooms, lobby and outside! Great place to Stay:)
It's in the city centre, near the Termini train station. Really convenient.
The place is well maintanied and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Very close to central station and easy to walk around the city. The location is perfect..
The location was good (very close to a transport hub and marker, and near some major attractions). Our room was on the first floor and there were good bedroom and bathroom locks, locks to the outer door of this part of the hostel and another lock on the door to the building (a bit like living in a bank vault). The downside of this was that, like all the hostels I've stayed at so far in Europe, no provision is made for escape during a fire (no smoke detectors either).
The owner was incredibly friendly and did his best to maintain a welcoming and social environment in the hostel. It was very apparent that he deeply cared that his customers had the best experience possible. Many of the residents during my stay were university students travelling, and everyone was extremely friendly with good stories to share. The place really fostered the true hostel experience, which is probably one of the best things a hostel could have.
Nice, comfortable. Friendly staff.
Rooms were very clean and spacious. Big lockers available in rooms. Lots of bathrooms and showers. Good wifi.
The distance to Rome Termini (central station) can't be beat! It was just the right place to stay to get in and out of Rome, with easy connections via metro to major sights, and via shuttle buses to airport. I also liked that information you could possibly need was already in the hostel (walking tour, airport shuttle, etc). I also ended up making 2 bookings for 2 consecutive nights, and they didn't have us change rooms, which was a huge plus for convenience's sake. The 24 hour reception made it easy to check out at 5 am for my flight. A light breakfast (pastry and coffee/juice) was included which gave me a little kickstart to the day until I found a place to have a proper breakfast. I can't really comment on the atmosphere as I was only there to sleep, and spent my day outside of the hostel but it was clean, and felt safe, always a plus.
