Alright ! I was surprised by the beauty of the dormitories (I had the 6 beds), the bed spaces have a little privacy thanks to the wooden panel. I really liked the sliding drawers to store our things. Nice size room for ease and the fact that there is a shower separate from the toilet is really appreciated too. Cleanliness, still quite good. The only unpleasant thing is the smell (smell of fire or humidity??) in the corridor leading to the 3rd floor dormitories. The employees are welcoming and kind, I only had one small downside in terms of language (English is not my first language) and one employee seemed to be losing patience a little since I had trouble finding my words. On the other hand, you should know that there is no community kitchen, this makes meals complex because you have to pay for the restaurant on site or elsewhere. No fridge/space to store food and you can't bring food into the rooms. I understand that you want to encourage your cooking but not everyone has the budget to eat out 2 or 3 times a day. Also, be aware that there is a tax of 12.50% per day which is not included in the amount in the basket but which is billed in the end. Close to public transport, ease of travel.
It's not really a youth hostel since there is no kitchen, nor any equipment for cooking. The rooms are spacious with toilets and bathroom
Hostel very well, recently renovated, despite everything lacks a kitchen

Hostel very well, recently renovated, despite everything lacks a kitchen
Excellent Youth Hostel! We had a very pleasant stay at 6. Indeed, the hostel is well placed and easily accessible from the center of the city. The interior and exterior architecture of the building is very pretty, with its typical brick facade and modern interior spaces. The room was clean and had a high ceiling. The staff was very welcoming, kind and understanding. Finally, the price was reasonable compared to other hotels and hostels in town. Thank you for everything, we highly recommend this place!
Surprisingly large common area. With space for free sofas, billiards and table football. Highly recommended buffet breakfast. Very good quality throughout. Card payments only. From Central Station there is a tram that goes through Dam Square and leaves you a few meters from the door of the hostel. It is also accessible to walk to the heart of the city. I was walking or renting a bike.
Nickel rooms, big enough, pleasant staff
Very unpleasant hostel, very "factory", we do not find the human side that we can look for in a youth hostel. For an inn that cost as much as a hotel I should have chosen the hotel! We spent two nights in this inn, it is certainly very pretty but also very impersonal. During the two nights we were disturbed by a visibly alcoholic man who threatened us in the middle of the night and who played the music loudly. It is for this reason that I give a very poor rating for security, it is the first time that I am afraid of sleeping in a hostel. The hostel is not very well placed either, very far from the city center on foot, you are obliged to take public transport, there is a tram stop 5 minutes walk but the tram itself is very expensive. In short, very disappointed with this inn, absolutely 0 security, not warm, not human, it's a factory.
A very good hostel both for school trips, backpackers, trips for friends, families ... In fact, the entrance looks like a hotel. The lobby and cafeteria area are beautiful, renovated, youthful, very modern and clean. The rooms are great, clean, with plenty of space even when they are full (we were in a room of 6 people / 3 bunk beds). They have private shower and bathroom, all perfect. The only bad thing that we take to the room is the fact that the lamp is somewhat dim (which is good for not disturbing your classmates when they sleep but bad for those and those who like to put on some makeup) . What we did was go down to the bathrooms in the lobby to put on makeup. The beds are quite comfortable to be a hostel that we pay at 160 euros for 7 nights and we have no other problems. The location is 10 since there is a tram stop 1 minute (in front of the hostel a little further) where for the 14 that is the one that takes to go downtown. Getting around in Amsterdam is very easy. The bad thing is that it has no kitchen, there is only a microwave in a room. Good thing, it can get you out of the way but it is not the same as a kitchen where you can cook pasta, do something grilled ... That the body asks after being 7 days eating out, hahahah. For those who eat late, the hostel gives food until 10 at night, so keep that in mind.
Comfortable and well-appointed inn Indoor snack bar open over a wide time range Close to several tram and bus stations
The hostel and our room were such as in the photos (the historic building of the exterior and modern interior with a large seating area on the ground floor and a huge canteen where buffet breakfast is served). The location is perfect with 1 tram and 1 bus nearby (not even 5 min walk) that make getting to the city center very easy. We had a great weekend!
Good place to sleep, not expensive. Well located Tram stop next door. The rooms are comfortable. However the reception staff is not very welcoming
very good address and nice welcome in an original building!
Very warm welcome, very good recommendations of visits and events. You can rent bikes, which is very convenient for visiting Amsterdam! The places are modern and in good condition and the hostel is rather well located
Hostel fairly well located, 15 minutes from downtown Amsterdam by bike (possibility to rent bikes at the hostel is great!) Very clean, great atmosphere, very open staff, gave us recommendations on Amsterdam, really nothing to blame! The hostel offers free walking tour, to do, we learn a lot about the city!
Good hostel for a trip to Amsterdam, staff at the top, modern place and not far from transport
Superb decor I love, simple but effective home, only problem the room the floor was not really clean to see again.
It was efficient to host in Stayokay! Next time i'll come back
Nice hostel, colorful, modern, very clean. The rooms are incredibly spacious and the living space on the ground floor is very friendly.
Location a little away from the city center but easily accessible with the tram (10-15min). Very friendly, clean place with very helpful and welcoming staff. Possibility to rent bicycles
very good hostel, reception open 24 hours
We are no longer in the mood of the hostel (meal) but this place is friendly and the staff friendly! Our family stay was facilitated by direct access to tram 14 towards the center.
Excellent
Everything is very clean, very welcoming staff, neat and modern decor.
A generally nice hostel and a nice environment but too many negative points of which I am sad to have read nothing on the Internet: theft in the establishment, unpleasant waiters, service finished earlier than the scheduled time, people drugged in the establishment and so on ..
Room very clean, equipped with all amenities. Sale of transport tickets and museums at the reception, very useful! Well connected with access at any time of day and night. Really great !
Very good
Friendly and welcoming staff, clean dorm and close to tram-bus stations!
It was a nice stay at the hostel, quiet, clean and well organized with a warm welcome and very good service
Perfect
Calm and pleasant
Nice hostel, nice place, the locals look new.
Can do better
Nice place
The hostel is directly on the tram line, 15 mins straight into Dam square and the centre of Amsterdam. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are typical dorm bunks, but big wnough for me at 6'3 which is rare. The facilities on site are extensive and there is a cinema, bars and coffee shops within 5 minutes walk. Fantastic value for money and if I go back to Dam, then I would rebook here.
It was clean - also showers
Feel very safe, the staff has been super helpful with everything I have asked and the atmosphere is clean.
Good free breakfast, bathroom and toilet conveniently located in rooms.
Large style hostel with lots of people. Free breakfast!
Great staff and bedrooms. Brrakfadt was included despite stated otherwise in the reservation, which wad a good surprise. A bit far from the center but you can get a trem just accross the street and they sell you the tickets i the reception.
room large and clean-fast in the center -super stay
Annoying location but good value for money and rooms aren't too bad
Beautiful, peaceful location. Full fledged breakfast buffet. The entire building is VERY spacious. (feels oddly like an American high school campus).
Clean, friendlykl
Super friendly staff who has an answer to every single question.
Very clean and much nicer than I expected
Safe and secure. The provided breakfast was a big plus
Very good establishments.
The free brekky
Clean and secure place, i highly recommend for everyone.
Very modern and clean building, very good atmosphere, relaxed yet you could still feel the buzz of the city. Staff were very helpful and kind, and you could talk to them very easily. The food was excellent. Rooms were a very good size. Other people staying at the hostel were people like myself and they were lovely.
maybe the location and the neighborhood
Free breakfast available in the morning Very secure with at least three doors that required key car access Staff were very helpful in giving directions and ideas
Felt very safe and a good base away from the centre of town
It's nice and quiet area, really big building with a big lobby/dining room.
One of the best value hostels in Amsterdam. Quiet and very well organised and they let me put my bike inside.
Very big, lots of space, the rooms are large, the eating area is also very spacious. The rooms are simple, organised and clean. The whole hostel is better than one would expect from a hostel.
Very helpful staff, clean and comfortable room and good selection of food and drink for breakfast.
Free wifi, breakfast included
Rooms were very comfortable.
