Guests can enjoy reading a book in a hammock or take an excursion to Bululo Waterfalls or nearby mud caves. Tours can also be organised for Silaka Nature Reserve, 3 km away by car. Directions
Amapondo Backpackers was originally a orphanage for HIV mothers and children. Over the years it became a commune and then to pay the utility bills a backpackers.
The backpackers supports the local crèche and you are more than welcome to take a tour to the local village to see the crèche.
