Friendly staff, clean rooms. Comfortable bedding, very warm duvet. Slightly negative points: slightly aging equipment, slightly dilapidated showers, slightly temperamental taps (first floor)
The staff is very welcoming and answered all my questions. The price is affordable and the meals are good.
I was in a 3-bed girls' dormitory. Everything was clean: room, bathroom and shower. Decent bedding. Hot shower. All-you-can-eat breakfast included, plentiful in a nice big room. There is a supervised luggage room, but I opted for a locker that could hold my backpack. You have to have your own padlock. The number of lockers is limited to 8, so more might be necessary. The hostel is accessible 24/7, which is very convenient. There is a small bar downstairs, with a TV screen and tables where you can meet up in groups.

Renovation work is to be expected on the toilets on the 1st floor but the whole area is very clean.
Very good value for money. Attentive and very friendly welcome.
the welcome is very pleasant, very good and friendly but with the necessary "restraint" towards the customer. The staff is at the "measure" of the expectations of the customers (neither too little, nor too exaggerated). It is a hostel to recommend Thank you
I appreciate the security guard A smile from some people at the reception would be welcome...and less coldness...
The staff is amazing, the location, facilities and atmosphere all really good. Overall good value for money but the bathrooms were too far from the rooms.
Calm and cool environment.
10/10- Excellent!
It was a moment of relaxation and physical and mental well-being in order to establish a cultural bridge with the other occupants. A big thank you to all.
Fast service, attentive staff. Very friendly reception agents, serving customers. The rooms are clean. Quick maintenance. I recommend it. Kheira
Pleasant welcome but very noisy hostel (groups of college students) + people who do not respect the sleep of others in the collective dormitories because they allow themselves to watch films on their phone without headphones until late at night.
Super well located hostel. Very friendly and patient reception team. Very decent rooms. Quiet night but wake up early because room located next to the toilets. A little oil on the hinges and a shock absorber would be welcome. Breakfast OK, nothing more, but we arrived around 9am.
Old-fashioned hostel in need of renovations
Pleasant stay, hostel well located for visits
Few sockets, few lockers in the basement and no hot water. In short, for one night it could be a good plan but otherwise move on.

I would return without thinking, Excellent place
No cashier in the women's room. 1 single sink in the woman's bedroom. The sink siphon too small. No light in the 4-bed dormitories and only one socket in the room. No soap in the showers.
great but it's too hot
Very nice home. Hearty and complete breakfast. Pleasant games room.
Good address, corresponding to what we ask for in a simple youth hostel.
It's good
Hostel well located and good value for money. Downside: no locker or radiator in the rooms.
Good welcome, clean room. No soap in the shower, which is a shame.
very good value for money for a stay in Paris. Welcoming and helpful team. A plentiful breakfast.
Place for young people wanting to party.. very noisy
Like a hotel shared by several people
Thanks for the cosmopolitan life and cleanliness.
Good breakfast. On the other hand, the dining room lacks a little light and ventilation!!!
Good value for money, at this price with breakfast included, we won't complain. Two remarks however, the rooms would benefit from having a locker with a padlock or lock as is done almost systematically, and the tables in the refectory are not stable.
In my first visit, I was well received and informed. The clean dormitory. The occupants respected the users' sleep, a positive point for rest. I recommend it for small budgets
Pleasant reception staff, responding efficiently to your needs and requests. Clean premises.
A television should be installed in individual rooms!
Good welcome. Breakfast very good.
Very good value for money. Calm. Breakfast included and plentiful. Possibility to dine and spend the evening in the nightclub located in the basement. Competent and respectful staff.
I recommend this hostel Both in terms of price and services offered, it's really niquel :) I put a slight star less concerning the upper part of the bunk bed, it must be related to safety but me it made me insecure.. it's the additional rung at the top of the stairs, twice my garment got stuck in it and I nearly collapsed, going up and down :p I stipulate it here, but I am delighted with my night in this hostel!
Good welcome. Good breakfasts. Stiff beds and very poor soundproofing. You can hear the bathroom and toilet doors a lot.
I spent 3 nights in a single room with my son. The hostel staff (whether at reception, in the restaurant or in the room) is available and helpful. There are many services (restaurant, leisure, laundry, etc.). Not being a big fan of youth hostels, I found it very good. Only downside, given the number of people staying in the same period, the nights were relatively noisy, but the hostel is not responsible sms
practical, clean, pragmatic and professional. off-center location if young children and pedestrians.
Many of the facilities offered were very interesting, many occupations within the hostel, such as a bar, a games room, a restaurant open day and night...
Noisy hostel (people / door slamming loudly Big point missing no secure locker for business (while there would be room to put some in the dorms) Bar closed pity
No light at night in the toilets, no toilet paper….
The staff of the hostel was extremely nice and welcoming. The breakfast was good, and it deserves a special "thank you" from me since it is included in the price. If you stay in a room with many other people, you need to understand that at some point it might get quite noisy, so if you are a light sleeper, make sure you have your ear plugs, or something like that, with you. In genertal, it was a really good expeirence and I enjoyed my stay at the hostel.
Good value for money
I liked it thank you for everything.:
Not modern premises and rooms without any privacy (no curtains around the beds) or locked space to store personal belongings.
It was a very nice experience. The staff was always available, toilets clean and good location outside touristic centre. Good place to be. I'll be back.
...but school groups (or other vacation centers) should give better instructions to their students, I think that some people could quickly mount pressure in front of the lack of embarrassment of some young people at any time of day. the night who come and go in the rooms. Not to mention the bellboys (automatic closing of the doors) of the toilets that constantly slam... In short, a little discretion will be welcome by some tenants, it's not the hostel's fault but maybe it should repeat the instructions more clearly....
hostel close to means of transport and therefore easy to access quiet daytime area green park nearby simple breakfast correct bedding
Very simple room, clean sheets.
Located not far from the metro so it is very convenient. Very pleasantly surprised by the Cleanliness. We sleep well. It's warm and family atmosphere The only downside in terms of noise, the slamming doors! Plus, access to the hostel at any time!! I will come back because very practical!
Pleasant welcome from the reception staff when taking the keys but big disappointment on: - cleanliness of the room and the bathrooms: cleaning done on the surface quickly but blood stains dried around the sink; very dusty ground - basement transformed into a nightclub on Saturday evening for people from outside the hostel (without us being informed) ==> asked to change rooms because it was impossible to sleep even with earplugs (room just on the above the party). The security guard sent me packing saying I was a light sleeper (even though it was the bass that woke me up). Renting a room to sleep seems to me to be a legitimate request and one that deserves at least a respectful welcome. - no hot water in the showers - toilet paper reels positioned behind our backs in the toilets, not very practical For me, just the minimum required: cleanliness/quietness/hot water is not achieved. However, I specify in positive points that the heating worked, that the duvets were good and that the breakfast was satisfactory in terms of the quantity of products.
I spent two nights in this hostel. The experience was not particularly pleasant. The cleanliness (essential point for me) clearly leaves something to be desired. The shower walls are full of mold, the toilets are soaked and clearly not clean. The water in the shower is cold (nice in the middle of winter!). Few sinks, which is not practical for washing hands or brushing teeth (one sink per room, however). The corridors are grey, cold and sad. In the rooms, it is cold, and there is only one socket per room, which is clearly not practical or well thought out for travelers on the go who necessarily need battery on their phone to find their way around in a city. The breakfast unfortunately does not rise to the standard, the cheese tastes of cardboard and the drinks are 100 times too sweet. There's a lot of noise in the hallways, you can hear the music from the hostel until late... To conclude, I don't recommend this hostel and I wouldn't set foot there again. A word of advice, if you can, don't be afraid to put a few euros more in a nicer hostel than this one...
A stone's throw from a crossroads with a metro station and cozy brasseries, run by friendly and quality staff, clean from top to bottom, quiet at night and offering a very pleasant buffet for breakfast, with an efficient underfloor heating system, this hostel allows all visits to Paris.
Clean, well placed, efficient, quiet, friendly
It's among the best places I've ever stayed in. Great atmosphere and stuff. Kitchen is great. I can't believe the variety of the breakfast.
Abundant presence of cockroaches in the showers, cobwebs in the restaurant, degraded paint on the tiles in the shower, Presence of mold in the shower...
Negative points: no individual socket to recharge telephones, elevator, often broken down, poorly insulated room, especially when you are on the window side. Positive points: good location, clean, friendly staff, good atmosphere on Weekend at Dockside.
Very pleasant staff on the phone and at reception. Very clean room and bed linen too. Value for money with breakfast, very good On Friday, an impeccable and noiseless night. On the other hand, on Saturdays, too much noise, and disrespectful people who systematically slam the bathroom door in the hallway without worrying about the sleep of others.
Well placed, transport nearby.
AND THE LACK OF LOCKERS THAT WE CAN LOCK WITH KEYS TO LEAVE OUR BUSINESS IN SECURITY
I was lucky to be alone in a room of 3 (low season). The hostel is clean, there is no noise. Full breakfast included.
Pleasant stay, value for money. Good contact with staff and visitors
Secure place, located in a quiet street and close to the metro, well maintained and breakfast offered with choice.
The bedroom very well: comfortable beds, enough space for all the suitcases and a correct bathroom and shower. The breakfast is very complete and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The workers are also very nice and pleasant. The only thing we didn't like was the noise. The hostel has a disco on the lower floor and at night the music was heard from the room (floor 2) which did not let us sleep well. It is quite far from the center but it has access to the metro in a 5-minute walk, which is great because in half an hour you are in the center.
Hello, We stayed 4 nights in winter. The reception is really very pleasant, with people who go out of their way to help you. However, the place is very noisy and cold. This hostel is a thermal sieve: entrance door that doesn't really close, damaged window seal that lets air in, cold wall under the bedroom window... Despite the message displayed, the operation is not eco-responsible! No sorting in the kitchen with 4 large bins which we don't really know if we should sort or not, industrial food (we only tried breakfast) with undrinkable Lipton tea, jams in small trays individual... When the cafeteria is cleaned, there is no longer a place to sit around a table. those in the basement space are too uncomfortable for that. The basement space is very noisy with the TV constantly on and the sound too loud. When we asked to lower the volume, a person came to lower it (I was alone in the room with my sister) but the next day we had to start again. Are there any instructions for the TV to always be on? Last point, a poster in the elevator shocked me. All in English, it was an invitation to go downstairs to the bar room. What do we see on the poster? bottles of liquor and young women dancing in unequivocal outfits. The message passed: come, there will be plenty to drink, alcohol of all kinds, and you will find girls.... Very shocking! There was a problem with a man who stalked a group of young girls. They were really scared. I went to see the reception who immediately took things seriously and called in the security guard. I would really like to give my compliments to the staff. Why not go further and hire kitchen staff to do real cooking with quality seasonal products? There seems to me to be a huge gap between the heritage displayed in the youth hostels of the 1930s and your actual operation.
A man went to sleep in the female dormitory at 3am and no one had checked the room assigned to him. The showers were cold. I do not recommend
For a family weekend (1 adult + 2 children) it's great, good value for money in Paris. And the children loved the principle of common room, self, evening autonomy, security. We were a little cold in our room but we were lent blankets the 2nd night and it was OK for the time we spend there. I will go back there
Perfect value for money
A last night agitated by the festive atmosphere of a concert. But nothing serious, we were on the weekend :) The hostel staff is very pleasant, smiling, available. The quality to price ratio is excellent. We will return.
very nice and well located place. However, the cleanliness of the toilets leaves something to be desired, which is a shame.
Overall the hostel was perfect
Especially for the non-mixed toilets/showers but open (literally: the door is kept wide open) to all, therefore mixed in fact. I met a procession of men there. The room cards should give access to the respective sanitary facilities. Taking a shower next to strangers whose feet you can see is not at all reassuring. No toilet paper when I arrived at 10 p.m., until cleaning the next day at the end of the morning..! The furnishings are dark and old, not welcoming at all. Decent room.
The hostel is not central but is very well connected by metro to visit any part of the city. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Lack of lockers and points to plug in electronic devices in the room. Proper cleaning. Varied and sufficient breakfast.
Good welcome by competent staff, Functional perfect for one or more nights.
Good
.
I stayed in a private room with a private bathroom, but we did not have a toilet. When booking, please keep this in mind. The toilets on the 8th floor were the ones we were told to use, and they were... not the best. The private room had a gorgeous view, however. The beds were also not too bad, which were the saving grace for the weekend. The staff does not speak much of any other language besides French. While some staff were very nice, a large number of them would get irritated with those not speaking French. They saw to be now in your rooms from 11-3 EVERYDAY for cleaning, with no option for 'Do Not Disturb/No Thank You'. Very strange. The free breakfast was actually nice though. Overall, the staff was not very helpful and I paid more than I think I should have. If you are merely looking for a place to sleep, this could be an option. Be aware that it isn't the best quarter of France!
Paris
The hostel is nice. However the shower was too hot.
Nice
Online reservation confirmed for a mixed room for 2 with private bathroom. Upon arrival at the hostel, no more room for 2 free so obtaining a room for 3 "for the same price" according to the receptionist. At the opening of the room, actually 3 beds but no private bathroom. Upstairs, shared toilets and showers... At the request of explanations and room rates with bathroom or without bathroom - because the price invoiced and paid was indeed that of a room with private bathroom - no excuse, no proposal for reimbursement, no explanation on the unavailability of the reserved room, just an e-mail address scribbled on a piece of paper stretched out nonchalantly to be able to send a complaint...
There was a lot of street noise which bothered one of my friends. Otherwise the night went well, the rooms and bathrooms are correct from a cleanliness point of view and there is the bare necessities in the rooms. It is also necessary to think of taking extension cords because few sockets in the room. The breakfast is also correct with sweet and savory to suit everyone
THREE GOOD
Pleasant welcome Sufficient breakfast Decent room and sufficient cleanliness on the other hand shower and private toilets to renovate, they put off by their unsanitary conditions. We hear a lot of noise from outside and from hostel guests, even worse when they are talking in the morning in the hallway (a person knocked on the door of a dormitory during at least 15 minutes around 2am... hellish. We even thought it was on our doorstep!) The wifi code is not highlighted ... so I did not take advantage of it.
The hostel was okay, it disappointed me a bit but probably just because I am comparing it to the hostel I stayed in a few days before, and whose premises were nicer. But the welcome is very friendly, access is easy by public transport to a lot of places in Paris. The breakfast food wasn't exceptional (but probably normal for a hostel), but the self-catering kitchen was very good. For security there are no lockers in the rooms, you have to be able to trust your roommate (which was my case, no worries to declare). On the other hand, the rooms lack electrical outlets to charge your phone, especially in a room for 9 people.
This hostel is amazing it's been 3 years since I go all the less and I have nothing to say ??
Apply an advance of 2 € and some to reserve which will not be refundable even in the event of cancellation.
Very functional and very good value for money. Very pleasant staff. Very practical luggage storage service. A socket may be missing in the 3-person rooms.
very welcome quiet room, clean excellent meal hearty breakfast nice and friendly atmosphere
