Avenue Hostel

This is the second time I've stayed at this hostel and if I go back to Budapest, it won't be the last either.

Very nice staff. Good rooms with private bathrooms, large boxes and curtains. Temperature is fine. Overall, clean. Nice common room with a bar and a kitchen (if you want to cook, go to the kitchen on 3rd floor). Breakfast included in the price (which is quite cheap, and even very cheap considering the quality of the hostel). Diner offered if you spend at least €4 at the bar. WhatsApp group, discount with different partners, different activities organised by the staff General feeling of safety.

Very good hostel. I would stay there again if I were to go to Budapest again.

It's a shame because the hostel is really great, cheap and with lots of common areas where you can meet people. The rooms are good, there are curtains on the beds to have privacy. It's also very economical because breakfasts are free, dinners are 4€ (even if the dinners are not huge) and because free tours are organized. However, I had the misfortune of sleeping in a bed infested with bedbugs. When I wanted to alert the staff by presenting my bites, they did not try to manage the problem, telling me that it was simply an allergic reaction. Likewise, when I sent a message alerting them via Whatsapp, I got no response. So it seems that they are not able to manage the cleanliness of the rooms and that they therefore let their customers sleep in beds infested with bedbugs.

This hostel is very well located. It is very clean, well thought out and has light and sockets at each bed. Possibility of cooking thanks to complete equipment. Breakfast is included and the evening meal at 4€ defies all competition. We highly recommend this hostel.

A hostel suitable for the general public. The beds in the dormitory are separated with boards and curtains to guarantee good privacy. Several showers and toilets are available. Honestly, it’s royal!

Great hostel. The price is reasonable, for example, you can have dinner and a drink for 3 euros. It is also easy to socialize and it is very well located. Just remember to take earplugs against the noise.

The hostel has excellent value for money, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the staff is friendly, there are lockers and the possibility of buying padlocks. The system is well run and efficient. There is a small expensive bar in the Auberge which even offers a meal from 3€ of purchase. The breakfast is not masterful but has the merit of existing. Thanks to Petra, my Argentinian friend (despite the defeat of France) who took care of us at the reception!

The hostel is well located with a good atmosphere but due to its large size I felt like I was in a factory and the premises do not stay clean for long. Also I did not have a good experience in my room. People did not respect community life and silence.

The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, the breakfast very complete. The staff was very attentive (Oleh). The rooms were also very good. Maybe a little noise for the more sensitive at night with the avenue.

The hostel is very nice, the rooms and bathrooms are clean. After having tried the dorms with shared and private bathroom, I recommend those with private bathroom which are more spacious and which have a small kitchen to share with the roommates upstairs. Good place to meet + breakfast included.

Super hostel, rather well maintained with a beautiful well-equipped kitchen. Housekeeping is done properly. Nothing to say about the breakfast which is perfect with decent quantities (it just lacks a little ham and cheese for people who eat salty in the morning but that's just a detail).

Superb encounters made possible by the proximity of the common areas, very intimate berths, bathrooms and toilets that are always very clean, varied breakfast and buffet at the perfect time. In the heart of the city, ideally located, pleasant and warm premises. In short, really go there with your eyes closed.

A hostel that is a little scary from the outside (decrepit building), but which turns out to be very nice once upstairs. The staff are welcoming and guide you to the room. A locker area is available to leave your luggage, monitored by camera and closed by padlock. The included breakfast is a plus. The clients are generally young, which is not always the case in a youth hostel. The city of Budapest is well spread, the tram in front of the building is convenient.

The other people were cool. The staff was not rude, they were almost all the time nice. Just a little dirty. It was in the center of the city, I loved that, all was really near.

The entrance was very ugly and dirty. Apparently they are still under construction. The rooms are very small. There is a very narrow corridor. The beds are uncomfortable and noisy. The deal with the staff is not pleasant.
