Genoa Youth Hostel is part of the HI - AIG Youth Hostels Association. If you're not already affiliated you can register at the check-in paying an extra fee: 5€ per person for Italian people (for a year validity card); 2€ per person/per day until the sixth day for foreign visitors.
A valid identity document is required for check-in (identity card, passport, driving license. Any other document, including residence permit, is not accepted).

The rooms are closed from 10.00 to 14.30 for cleaning
People residing in Genoa cannot stay at the hostel. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with a photocopy of the parent's document and authorization.
All beds in the hostel are bunk beds.

Missing a friendly lounge. Friendly and diligent staff. Locals rather naughty, clean, but a terrace that dominates the city. Far from the center but with bus including in the evening. (I do not know how to evaluate the security ... there are lockers for padlocks ..., everything closes well ...., the neighborhood is a little desert but peaceful.The staff is reassuring and available ... PROBLEM, we paid on arrival the totality of the three nights in dormitory, or 60 € and the deposit paid on booking, 6.49 had to be returned to the account of the card with which I booked but it is not yet, normal? or error? I was a little nervous, but was surprised when we arrived. The staff were friendly, and helpful. The place was clean and spacious. Rooms were just right, but clean and tidy. The food was good, and the location was perfect for our trip. Good job!
we stayed for a night. the price is good, and the place is clean. the beds are comfy enough, and the hot shower's working. overall, it was a good experience.
