Pleasant family stay in this hostel. If the neighborhood is not friendly, it is particularly well placed. 5 minutes by train from the center and at the foot of the bus and tram. Very friendly atmosphere inside. Possibility to cook for yourself and enjoy an evening at the bar

Pretty clean and tidy

We were greeted without any information. We were just given the keys to the room, we were made to repay a tourist tax of €3 and in addition a city tax of 7% of the price of our reservation, which is exorbitant. We had to insist and ask the question several times to get things explained to us. We were given no indication of transport, parking, hostel amenities... we had to come back a second time with a nicer receptionist. The proposed kitchen is very small compared to the many people present in the hostel. We are told that there is a bar in the hostels but this one is almost never open. Conclusion this hostel does not correspond to the family/roots atmosphere of a youth hostel.

A permanent air conditioning in the rooms (sinusitis assured), lights in the toilets in the rooms on 24 hours a day, even after the passage of the maintenance staff, absence of utensils in the kitchen, and those which are there are not adapted to the plates. Clean but either no towels or no soaps...

Very practical and of fairly good quality, the hostel does its job. Perfect for budget travellers. 2 minutes from a train station, getting to the heart of Amsterdam is very easy and affordable.

It looks like there was a mistake on the reservation. I was surprised to see that I had booked 4 rooms for 4 people. Probably a computer problem. In the end everything was resolved thanks to the staff who were just as efficient as they were considerate. Really the reception is benevolent.

I never saw a bed so unconfortable. And if you to arriveto sleep, you are waking up by the handle door whose all make noise. I'll not blame them for my roomates but that was a really bad experience...

pleasant establishment, close to public transport, well-equipped kitchen, during our ride on bikes rented from the hostel, one of the bikes had a puncture a repairman came on site (we were in the city center) to replace the wheel

No complaints. Hate to come back in summer to discover Amsterdam differently?

A great experience in one of the best hostels

Totally reliable

This is the first time I go to a hostel, only what is more, and I apprehended a little This hostel is really very reassuring, well located and well served. The staff is very welcoming, attentive and helpful. The property looks a lot like a 4-star hotel, with several floors, large hallways and room access cards. There is a common kitchen room, a place to enjoy a breakfast or snack and food vending machines. It is possible to choose the type of room: private (2 to 4 beds it seems to me with bathroom and toilet in the room) or dormitory (6 to 10 beds I think), reserved for women or men only or mixed. I was in a room for girls of 6 beds, with bathroom and toilets in it: very clean, spacious, well attended, with secure personal lockers available, TV, hair dryer, bedside table, personal electrical outlet, sheets and towel. Many discount coupons are also available for various activities, to present at the time of purchase. Small flat on the pillow much too flat. I recommend !

Good except no control on bed allocation. Being a senior citizen I had requested reception to arrange a lower bunk as I had to run my C-pap machine. But they refused to comply with my request as they said they had no control on bed the had authority only to allocate room.
