Train Lodge Amsterdam

A wonderful place, the concept is really cool and original. It's a perfect place for travellers without cars, most the youngest one. The dormitories do not lock so it's perfect for the people whom travel in a mildy way. The place is near the Flixbus station and really close to the Amsterdam Centraal by train. (-10min) and metro.

Nous avons passé deux nuits au Train Lodge, et nous aurions bien aimé continuer encore pendant un bout de temps là-bas ! L'idée de reprendre un train de nuit pour en faire une auberge de jeunesse est vraiment très bonne, et l'aménagement effectué rend le lieu très convivial. Il est possible de louer des vélos pour visiter Amsterdam et ses alentours, pour permettre de découvrir la région ainsi que le joli parc juste à côté de l'auberge. Le dortoir ainsi que les salles de bain étaient propres et conformes à la description, et le personnel agréable.

The staff is very welcoming, the train has an ideal location, quiet, but not cramped. The beds are comfortable and the cleanliness is there.

Friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere and good location

The atmosphere is very warm, the decor is nice and you feel at ease. We were reassured by the fact that the cabin is closed both from the inside but also from the outside by the staff at our convenience. However, the quality-price ratio remains average given the size of the cabin, the location (off-centre) and the number of services offered (only a sale of drinks and snacks).

The sanitary facilities are finally sufficient despite their limited surface area. Train noise is less annoying than expected. The welcome is friendly.

Very expensive for what it is, the place is atypical, however a nice surprise of more than 50 euros in additional taxes, only one shower for all the train so we had to wait each time for it to become available.

Really disappointing establishment. You feel like you're in a sort of time bubble for a few days, the people there are friendly. We are slightly cramped but nothing insurmountable for a stay of a reasonable length. The establishment is out of the city center but stuck to a station served by many public transport.

The staff is always present and friendly. They listen to you, give good advice and are helpful. The toilets are clean. RAS security level. The dorms are small but very nice. Comfortable bedding. Located next to a superb park (which is worth visiting!), 1 hour walk from the center of Amsterdam (otherwise easily accessible by public transport). The terrace in the evening is very pleasant and cozy. The music played in the reception/bar is great (jazz, calm background music, etc.). I highly recommend! It may not be ideal for the disabled and tall people.

This hostel is expensive for its quality and hospitality. Beware of the last minute tourist tax ....

The lounge car is warm and we sleep really well in the bunks. The disadvantage may be the little space to change when you are 6 in the sleeper wagon. It seems to me that the price of Friday night and Saturday night (50 € for a bed without breakfast) seems exaggerated (never paid such a rate even in Sydney!), Although the place is atypical, close to the station and that the staff is really friendly.

A warm, friendly hostel well connected to the important places of Amsterdam, an arrival / departure facilitated by the proximity to the train station and quality equipment. The original setting is a real plus to live a real trip!

The Flixbus and Ouibus buses are just next door so super convenient as well as the metro station. To go in the center 30 minutes by subway. Train very well laid out, quiet, the staff is very friendly.

Good idea of a hotel in a train with one major default: the air conditioning. It was so strong that it got me and my sister sick. If there was a way to stop it in the room, the experience would have been mich better.

Nothing to say was perfect, the staff is always available and smiling and the hostel is only 20-30minutes away by tram from Amsterdam's tourist squares. There is a very nice park just 10minutes walk from the hostel.

The idea of the train is really great. I greatly appreciate the particularity of being in a room reserved for girls. The team is warm and caring. Good atmosphere in the evening. The deco and the team gives the good mood.
