Wake Up! Sydney

I booked my stay with aubergesdejeuneese.com with the possibility of modifying my dates but in the end it was wrong! Unable to do so online via their site, I sent an email to the hostel which redirected me to the aubergesdejeunesse.com site which itself redirected me to Wake up! In short, impossible to change my dates, so I paid an extra night for nothing. It would be cool not to sell false promises... The hostel has a very young atmosphere, and perfect for people under 30, but it wasn't my trip at the moment. The fridges in the kitchen, on the other hand, were disgusting and my room was not cleaned before I arrived or during my entire stay... A far from extraordinary experience for me and I was happy to leave . The windows don't open so I wonder how the air is renewed in the rooms. Otherwise the location is very good.

Basically everything!! It was the best hostel I've stayed in for a very long time!!

The cafe downstairs was nice and reasonably priced. The downstairs bar was also fun.

Clean and always something available to do and the staff are always available if you need them

The energy is fabulous, as is the location. Straight off the train at Central Station, across the road and you're there.

Great atmosphere and staff are really nice. Sidebar downstairs has some great deals and sure to be a great night out. Bathrooms and room was clean.

It was clean and comfortable. It catered for the large group of people we booked. It was close to facilities we wanted to access.

It has a good location, right next to Central station, good for transport (train, bus, greyhound bus etc), good perks for booking through hostel bookers, really friendly staff on the reception, relatively quiet, nice decor and modern design.

Activities nightly and it's just perfect for backpackers

Very clean! The building is huge so you didn't feel like you could hear your neighbours too much. The coffee in the attached cafe is really good.

The travel desk is really handy to book trips and the cafe downstairs does really nice food at a fair price.

Friendly atmosphere, great people and very easy to feel at home. Was in a good location too. A very professionally run hostel.

Great location, very clean, rooms are good size, staff are brilliant, cafe on the side which is cheap and bar underneath which is cheap, what more can you ask for?

Good rooms with plug sockets at every bed. Secure and very clean. Excellent atmosphere.

Social able

Great hostel, very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds and lockers. 6 bed dorms are better than the 4 bed dorms as you don't have your own bedside light and power plug in the 4 bed dorm.
